A positive internal culture is important to We Are Amnet. Our Head of Human Relationships (The Americas), Elishia Sosa, understands that better than most. In addition to welcoming and onboarding new employees, Elishia strives to ensure that all US-focused human operations policies and practices are properly implemented. Last month, she celebrated her one-year anniversary at We Are Amnet.

1) If you had to choose between podcasts, books, and movies, and you could only pick *one* type to enjoy for the rest of your life, which would it be and why?
I love podcasts, but definitely AUDIO books are my must have! A good book can capture my imagination, challenge my perspective, and help me learn something about myself and/or the world around me. I’m not one to sit still for long, so audiobooks are perfect for me to multitask while listening. I’m currently listening to Atomic Habits by James Clear; however, my most recent favorite “read” is The Traveler’s Gift by Andy Andrews.
2) What is the last song you listened to, and why did you pick it?
I am fortunate to have three young boys, so a frequent song choice and the last song I listened to is “Baby Shark”… “Baby Shark, doo-doo, doo-doo…“
“Baby Shark, doo-doo, doo-doo.” Now I’ll let that get stuck in YOUR head! 😉
3) What is your favorite vacation destination, and why?
Hawaii – As a native Floridian, the beach and salt water are in my blood! Hawaii was a perfect relaxing, but adventurous getaway vacation to enjoy every aspect of the beach and the astonishing natural beauty of mountains, volcanoes, and rainforest all in a few islands. Plus this is the first time I swam with a sea turtle! I can’t wait to go back!
4) If you had to describe yourself using three adjectives, which would you choose, and why?
High-energy (or Enerji!), positive, productive.
5) What is your favorite part about your job at We Are Amnet, and why?
I have always been mission oriented and passionate about helping others… This is what led me to the Human Resources field years ago. As Head of Human Relationships – The Americas I have the opportunity to put my talents and years of experience to use wearing multiple hats supporting teams that are expanding and launching brands in the US. Working with such high-caliber professionals – true “Bar Raisers” – that are masters of their respective fields during a time of growth is both a privilege and a dream come true!
6) What do you enjoy most about We Are Amnet, and why?
Many of the team members I work with are literally on the other side of the world, but some things transcend time zones… company culture, people, passion. At We Are Amnet, from my very first interview with the company to now a year later, I have been consistently impressed by the positive company culture that fosters collaboration, kindness, and gratitude in all aspects of work. Every. single. person. I have worked with at We Are Amnet and our parent company, The Enerji Group, bring a high level of professionalism and expertise that challenges me to be and do better, but also translates to top-notch delivery to our clients. With passion from the top down AND the bottom up, it is clear that everyone at We Are Amnet (myself included!) is passionate about the work we do [by] collectively delivering creative solutions in an evolving industry.
